Breaks
Q: My employer requires the staff to sign a document stating that we take our breaks even though most of the time we do not because of patient scheduling, is this right?
A: Based upon your information – NO. Just because you signed a document stating you have taken your breaks doesn’t mean it will hold up in a labor hearing. I suggest don’t sign documents that are not factual and I suggest your employer talk to a Labor Attorney, better yet, make sure employees take their breaks.
