Follow Manufacturer’s Instructions
Q: I was told by an OSHA Consultant that it’s alright to put 4X4 gauze in a Tupperware container then pour disinfectant into the container to make wipes, it this ok to do?
A: In most cases no. You should always use products per manufacturer’s instructions. When you don’t you will not get the benefits of the product, you will increase risk, and you will assume most if not all of the liability for failing to follow instructions.
If it was me, I would start using disinfectant wipes that are already made.
When it comes to disinfectants and infection control, you better be correct!
