Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus

Q:  What precautions should a Dental Office take regarding MRSA?

A: Use the combination of Universal and Standard precautions as you would normally. Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA) is just another bacterium that can be in a healthcare setting.  For more information regarding MRSA in healthcare follow this link http://www.cdc.gov/ncidod/dhqp/ar_MRSA_spotlight_2006.html
By all means “wash your hands” routinely.
