Q: My sale representative told me about a product when added to x-ray developer will neutralize it so it can be poured down the drain. He said it was approved by OSHA and the EPA in all 50 states. Is this right?
A: There are several products that are available to reduce the PH value of developer, fixer, and cold sterile, which the manufacture claims to be EPA and OSHA approved in all 50 States. However it is the end user’s responsibly to make sure it is approved by their City and County agencies before pouring chemicals down the drain or putting in the trash.
