Emergency Medical Kit
I am often asked, “Is there an alternative to purchasing a Emergency Medical Kit that doesn’t cost an eye and kidney?”
The answer is YES!
I have listed the items which will makeup a basic kit. By writing a prescription to “Office Use” and filling it at CVS, Walmart, Walgreens, etc., you will save a bunch of money!
The following list is the minimum items that must be in the kit,
– Albuterol Inhaler
– Ammonia Inhalants
– Glucose (tube or stick)
– Preloaded Epinephrine Pens
(An alternative to the pens are preloaded epinephrine syringes which will save you even more money)
Note: once you cancel your refill subscription to your current Emergency Medical Kit, you will need to keep the expiration dates of the above items in mind.
FYI, you may want to check with your malpractice insurance carrier to see if they require anything specifically.
