The iTero element Wand Sleeve is a Single-Use product, as stated on the box. Once used, it must be discarded and not saved to be used on the same patient; it’s “Single-Use,” not “Single Patient Use.” I know it’s confusing to some. Unfortunately, reusing disposals is a growing issue in the dental profession to save money. To be clear, the Dental Board will impose disciplinary actions against your professional license, like suspension, probation, etc. In the event the patient is harmed, it becomes a criminal offense.
