Meet Tom Terry: The Vanguard of Dental Office Safety

From the first hello to the final goodbye, every interaction within the confines of a dental office presents an opportunity to prioritize safety. But who ensures that these dental practices are the safe havens they should be? Let’s introduce you to a man who’s dedicated his life to this mission – Tom Terry.

A Lifelong Commitment to Dental Safety

Fifty years. That’s half a century of tireless dedication to ensuring that dental offices are safe for both patients and employees. Tom Terry, a firm believer in the philosophy that patient safety is the elimination of unnecessary risks, has been a relentless crusader in the fight for dental office safety.

His commitment isn’t just about the here and now but about ensuring that the dental profession keeps evolving in its approach to safety. He’s a researcher, an inspector, a writer, a speaker, and above all, a person who’s ceaselessly dedicated to his cause.

Tom Terry, the Researcher

With an insatiable curiosity and a natural inclination for investigation, Tom’s research has spanned over five decades. Through countless case studies, he’s delved into the nitty-gritty of patient safety, employee safety, and environmental safety within dental offices. His findings have not only been eye-opening but have also played a significant role in shaping safety protocols across the dental industry.

Tom Terry, the Inspector/Investigator

Wielding a keen eye for detail and a firm hand of authority, Tom has inspected thousands of dental offices. His investigations have uncovered cross-contamination incidents, job-related accidents, and many other safety concerns. Each inspection has given him invaluable insights, further reinforcing his commitment to safer dental practices.

Tom Terry, the Writer

Tom’s expertise isn’t confined to research and inspections. He’s also an accomplished writer, penning numerous business books, compliance manuals, continuing education courses, and business publications. His written work serves as a blueprint for dental safety practices, assisting dental offices in navigating the complex landscape of safety protocols and procedures.

Tom Terry, the Storyteller

A year filled with 256 seminars, workshops, lectures, and keynote addresses is a busy year indeed. But for Tom, it’s just part of his ongoing mission. He’s a vibrant speaker, imparting his wisdom in engaging and accessible ways, and his training sessions have been instrumental in raising the standard of safety in dental offices worldwide.

Tom Terry, the Person

Beyond his professional accolades, Tom is a spicy, opinionated, and outspoken individual with a unique sense of humor. An avid reader, vintage fountain pen collector, watch enthusiast, and photographer, he has a love for the finer things in life, including his beloved cats.

When he isn’t engrossed in all things dental safety, you can find him fishing, hiking rugged terrains with a 20-pound metal plate-filled backpack (a fitness activity known as rucking), or carrying a 60-pound sandbag. He’s also a dedicated gym rat and TRX fanatic.
